The Casting Operator is responsible for operating casting equipment, monitoring the casting process, and ensuring high-quality finished products. This role involves preparing molds, pouring or injecting materials, inspecting cast parts, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Prepare molds and casting equipment according to specifications.
Operate casting machines (metal, plastic, or other materials) safely and efficiently.
Monitor the casting process for quality, temperature, and material consistency.
Inspect finished cast parts for defects and adherence to specifications.
Remove, clean, and finish cast parts as required.
Maintain accurate production records and quality logs.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in casting, foundry work, or manufacturing preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to lift and handle materials safely (varies by process).
Good communication skills and teamwork mindset.
Exposure to heat, noise, dust, or chemicals depending on casting materials.
Manufacturing or foundry environment; PPE required.
Physically demanding, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and bending.
