The  Catering Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all catered events at Ocean Sky Hotel & Resort. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, collaborating with the culinary team to design customized menus, and ensuring seamless execution of events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record in catering and event management. Additionally, this role will involve soliciting new business for the hotel, representing the hotel during tradeshows, and maintaining client relationships through various sales efforts.

  Job Description:

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring outstanding service from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate all catering and banquet operations, including menu planning, event logistics, and service execution.
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to create customized menus that meet client preferences and budget requirements.
• Work with the sales and marketing teams to promote catering services and drive revenue growth.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and maximize profitability of catering services.
• Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown, ensuring flawless execution and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and ensure cleanliness and organization in all catering areas.
• Stay updated on industry trends and implement innovative catering strategies to enhance guest experiences.
• Solicit new business for the hotel through networking, referrals, and proactive sales efforts.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote catering and event services.
• Prepare information for, meet with, and entertain clients as deemed appropriate to maintain strong client relationships.
• Travel locally to conduct outside sales calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.
• Coordinate and conduct hotel tours with potential clients, showcasing event spaces and amenities.
• Maintain professionalism and accuracy in both internal and external communication.

  Skills and qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in catering management, hospitality, or event planning.
• Experience in managing events, weddings, and corporate functions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in catering software, event management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
