Position Responsibilities
- Optimize database performance through several techniques including indexing, query optimization and database design, among others.
- Partner with application development project teams to ensure optimal application performance.
- Participate in high availability / disaster recovery tests of critical systems.
- Ensure databases and database objects are properly backed up, and recovery procedures are tested and documented.
- Support databases / database applications as well as upgrade and patch database management systems.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in the DB2-LUW Management System.
- Proficient in replication technologies (e.g. CDC, Attunity) with basic understanding of data modelling.
- Work independently to complete assignments and lead by example to guide and develop the database administration team.
