Role : Mainframe Developer
Location : Anywhere in USA (must work PST)
Duration : 6 months C2H
We are looking for an experienced individual to join a team of software developers supporting our Retirement division policy administration systems on the Mainframe. We are looking for an experienced mainframe developer who also has AWS expertise who can help build digital capabilities on our Mainframe systems.
Here are the experience/skills that I have in mind
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, OR relevant accredited technical certification, OR equivalent work experience
Mainframe Skills - ~10 yrs
Required - COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, and VSAM.
Preferred - Assembler, z/OS Connect.
Experience building SOAP/REST APIs in Python
AWS Skills - (~ 5 yrs)
Knowledge on all common AWS services (Preferred services - Lambda, ECS, Docker, S3,DynamoDB,RDS/Postgres SQL, EventBridge)
Experience designing and architecting solutions on AWS
Preferred /Nice to haves
Experience with Vantage or a similar Annuity policy admin system on the mainframe is a significant plus
Experience using AI code assistants to enhance developer velocity and code quality.
