Spanish Teacher (Grades 1–8)

Location: Sausalito, CA

Type: Part-time or Full-time (depending on availability and qualifications)

The Opportunity

The New Village School is seeking a passionate and engaging Spanish teacher to join our team. This teacher will work with students in grades 1 through 8, guiding them in their language learning journey through immersive and creative instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish to grades 1–8 entirely in Spanish
• Incorporate music, poetry, storytelling, and cultural history into lessons
• Collaborate with the teaching team to support interdisciplinary learning
• Build meaningful relationships with students and contribute to a positive classroom culture

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in a classroom setting
• Native or fluent Spanish speaker with strong communication skills
• Enthusiasm for working with children across a range of ages
• Interest in or willingness to learn about Steiner-inspired (Waldorf) pedagogy

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
