School Social Worker – 2025–2026 School Year – In‑Person | Illinois

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated  School Social Worker for the 2025–2026 school year. We offer full-time and part-time positions, exclusively in-person, with placements in supportive school environments.

Position Details

Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time
Location: In-person
Start Date: August 2025
Setting: Elementary school (single-building positions)
Caseload: Discussed during the interview
Languages: Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide school-based mental health and social-emotional support
• Complete IEP minutes and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate in staff meetings and multi-disciplinary team discussions
• Collaborate with special education and student support teams
• Promote equity and access for all students

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Social Work
• Experience in school settings or special education is a plus
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly valued
