Job Description
Cordia Resources construction industry client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support key accounting functions, including month-end reconciliations, accounts payable review, and audit preparation. This role requires strong accounting expertise, a proactive approach to process improvement, and prior experience in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end account reconciliations and assist with close processes
- Review and oversee accounts payable transactions for accuracy and compliance
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
- Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate job costing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- Construction industry experience is required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Excellent Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
