Lead the Mechanical, Piping, and HVAC engineering discipline for custom motor yacht projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, high-quality design, and on-time delivery while managing technical staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee mechanical, piping, and HVAC system design, layouts, and machinery arrangements.
Utilize ShipConstructor, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor for 2D/3D modeling and coordination.
Design and review machinery foundations and resilient mounting systems.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors on custom equipment and system packages.
Ensure compliance with ABS, MCA, Flag State, and USCG requirements.
Manage all discipline deliverables, schedules, and weight tracking in coordination with Project Engineers.
Incorporate manufacturing constraints and production preferences into designs.
Support client-driven design solutions and stay current with industry trends.
Lead, resource, and evaluate a team of 6 8 engineers and designers.
B.S. in Mechanical or Marine Engineering (M.S. or equivalent experience preferred).
Experience with motor yachts (75 150 ft) and shipyard new construction, repair, or refit.
Strong knowledge of marine mechanical systems and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and ShipConstructor.
Proven leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
