Summary:
Join our client operating room team as a Staff RNFA, where you'll collaborate with surgeons to deliver exceptional patient care during surgical procedures. Your perioperative expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care in the perioperative setting.
- Serve as a first assistant to the surgeon.
- Apply surgical aseptic techniques and respond effectively in emergencies.
- Lead patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Guide ancillary personnel, ensuring adherence to nursing standards.
- Participate in call rotation and occasional weekend/evening shifts.
Qualifications:
- Education: BSN required.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of perioperative nursing experience.
- 1+ year of med/surg nursing experience (preferred).
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active RN license in Massachusetts.
- CNOR certification
- CPR certification.
- ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire)
- RNFA certification (within 2 years of hire).
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of surgical aseptic technique
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress and emergency situations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Current liability insurance.
