POSITION PROFILE:
The Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for assisting with end-user support requests, participating in installing new software/hardware, ensuring compatibility of installed software/hardware, and addressing the day-to-day maintenance of the network equipment located at our corporate office, satellite facilities and remote workforce. You will also be responsible for computer imaging, troubleshooting server/desktop software/hardware problems, and identifying, implementing and documenting system fixes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary provider of end-user technical support in a Windows 11 environment for all line-of-business applications.
- Perform on\off-boarding of new employees (laptop, phone, desk, badging, etc.)
- Providing limited server hardware and software support.
- Limited support of network infrastructure hardware, i.e., switches, routers, wireless access points, printers, etc.
- Provide support with any IT related projects as needed.
- Assist with creating standard processes, plan effectively to complete tasks on schedule, and clearly document results.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or technical diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Database Analyst or related field, and/or equivalent work experience
- Relevant and current certifications desired (Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.)
- Up to 2 years of experience as a Help Desk Technician or Systems\Network Administrator with hands-on experience supporting end-users
- Prior experience with server, desktop, and printer hardware.
- Proficiency in MS O365
- Help Desk management \ ticketing systems
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- This position may have requirements for occasional after-hours and weekend support
- Requires U.S. Citizenship
IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:
- Experience configuring digital phones systems, security access controls, badging
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and their application in incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure efficient IT service delivery.
- Experience Apple devices and MDM systems
- Experience with desktop imaging software
- Experience running and terminating network cable
- Experience troubleshooting conference room AV equipment
- Experience working in an ITAR environment and a DoD cleared facility is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Entra and Windows Active Directory
