Job Description
Teacher of elementary or middle school students (K-4, 5-8)
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters in the content area
- Must possess, be eligible or working towards certification:
- (165) Comprehensive Special Education (PreK-12) Willing to assist appropriate candidate to obtain this
- (305) Elementary (1-6), (various) content area (4-12)

Period of Employment: 2025-2026 school year, summer work also available
- Salary based on education and experience: $ 59000 - $ 72000 per year
Position Expectations:
- Team with an experienced special educator, teaching assistants and clinicians to meet the needs of students with special needs in two trauma informed classrooms
- Connect with students to achieve academic and therapeutic goals
- Develop student resilience, protective factors and distress tolerance
- Design lesson plans to meet the needs of students in small group setting
- Engage colleagues, students and families in the learning process
- Apply student’s reading and literacy skills in areas of student interest
- Demonstrate knowledge of special education regulations and guidelines
- Implement IEP and progress-monitor student growth
- Prepare documents for PPT participation
